La Borderie de la Gontrie offers the peace and the tranquility of the countryside while located less than 10 minutes drive from the intersection of two motorways : Angers/Les Sables and Nantes/Bordeaux (see location here). 
It probably was built in the seventeenth century as a farm, being modified later to a prison and finally back to a cottage in end of the nineteenth century. We bought it in 2005 and rebuilt many parts of the buildings while trying to maintain both the spirit and historic appearance of them.
3 houses out of 6, from 20m2 to 200m2 are ready to be lived in. 3 others are in still under restoration (above, left)
The rooms are seated in two small houses wich have been beautifully restored with exposed stone walls and timber paneled ceilings.
